Yash starrer 'KGF' has become the rage in the country and around the world ever since its release on December 21. Although it was initially an underdog as it was pitted against Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero', the tables have certainly turned in the past few days. The film has already crossed the hundred crore mark and in the eagerness to catch the movie, some confusion seems to have ensued in some foreign countries.
Apparently, the shows of the Prashant Neel directorial was cancelled in Australia. Ever since the news broke out, concerned fans demanded an explanation for the same, for why a film that is doing so well should be pulled out of cinema halls. However, the makers of the film have a good reason for this decision. Karthik Gowda, the producer of the magnum opus took to Twitter to clarify that whoever opened the film in Australia did so without consulting him or his production house.
As a result, when they learnt about this unauthorized screening, they decided to shut it down and hence the shows were cancelled. However, there is also some good news for the fans. The producer has also revealed that they are almost done finalising a deal with new distributors post which it will be released down under as per plan.
Meanwhile, thanks to the phenomenal publicity and hype about the film, there has been an increasing demand for the Yash starrer to be released in other countries as well. Overall, it seems like there is no stopping the juggernaut that is 'KGF'. Coming to the collections, the film continues to inch towards the Rs 150 crore mark and will possibly reach it by the end of the week.
