The ace director, who has earned national and international acclaim post-'Baahubali 2' had a lot of good things to say about both Yash and 'KGF'. Speaking about the Kannada star, he recalls the moment when he came across his name first. He had heard people talking about a young star on the horizon called Yash. Immediately curious, Rajamouli had asked if he had any connections. To this, he got the astonishing reply that he is becoming so famous because he comes from a non-film industry background.

The director disclosed that Yash's father was, in fact, a bus driver and there is nothing more inspirational than watching a middle-class man's son become a cinema icon. SSR went on to say that in his opinion though, it is Yash's father who is an even bigger superstar than him. Explaining his statement, the filmmaker said that even after his son achieved fame, his father still a bus driver, for he respects his profession so much. With such an ideal work ethic, there is little surprise that his son became a big and successful man.
