Amala Paul has accused Susi Ganesan and his wife Manjari of threatening her on call after she supported filmmaker Leena Manimekalai in her #MeToo story against the well-known Tamil director. The popular South actor, apart from backing Leena Manimekalai, had also shared her own #MeToo experience with Ganesan, with whom she had worked on the film ''Thiruttu Payale 2'.

In a Twitter post yesterday, she had revealed how the experience of working on the film was 'mentally fatiguing' for her despite the fact that she was the lead actress. Amala shared she was subjected to 'double meaning talks, misrepresented offers, and unchivalrous bodily contacts' on the sets.

Within two hours of the post, the 'VIP 2' actor tweeted again, saying the filmmaker and his wife called and when she 'tried to pacify' Manjari, Ganesan 'started abusing' her. She added that his wife 'surprisingly' started laughing after that, and the couple then 's**t-shamed' her. Amala concluded her post by saying she was not one of those who'd be 'scared' with these 'tactics'.

Previously, 'Rang De Basanti' actor Siddharth had also revealed that Ganesan spoke to his aged father, threatening the family with 'dire consequences' after he supported Leena.
