Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy hit the ticketing counters on October 2nd and seems like it off to a great start already! The film directed by Surender Reddy is based on the life of Telugu freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Ever since its release, social media is filled with rave reviews of the Chiranjeevi starrer. Reportedly, the period raked in Rs 25 Lakhs in Hyderabad RTC X Roads on its opening day, and managed to rake around โ‚น45 crores in India on Day 1.

About the film: 

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is directed by Surender Reddy and is produced by Chiranjeevi’s son and Telugu star Ram Charan. The film is slated to hit the theatres on October 2 and will clash with Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s War. The film also stars Ravi Kishan, Jagapathy Babu, Anushka Shetty (in a brief role), among others. The music has been given by Amit Trivedi.

What's the story about? 

The 1857 freedom movement is often termed as the first Independence War fought by the Indians against the British, but Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is all set to bring on screen a story before that. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is based on the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, who had raised his voice and anger against the Britishers more than a decade before the 1857 freedom movement.
