From dancing to his scene in the theatres or pouring milk over his posters, the fan following that Rajinikanth enjoys is one that not many celebrities are lucky with. However, the superstar’s popularity is not just restricted to parts of South India, and even goes beyond the country. The actor’s films do tremendous business in many other parts of the world, but now he has been used for an important cause in Australia. The Derby Police used a meme from his movie ‘2.0’ to highlight a 'shocking' drunk driving incident, and ‘Thalaivar’ fans went gaga over the mention.
The official Twitter handle of the Derby Police a few days ago had used a still from the movie ‘2.0’ where Rajinikanth says, ‘This is beyond science’. The force used the image to write how they were shocked after finding 0.341 grams of alcohol in a person’s breath alcohol concentration.
Sharing the details of the drunk driving incident, the handle wrote how it ‘biologically shouldn't even be possible’ as it was equivalent to being under the influence of a ‘surgical anaesthetic or being in a coma’. Unsurprisingly, the person had two prior life disqualifications for the offence.
Rajinikanth fans naturally went gaga over the reference sharing his other gifs and exulting that he is everywhere and omnipresent. One wrote how even the world itself got ‘rajinified’ and another wrote to Derby Police how they had also gone viral for using the meme.
Previously, Mumbai Police had also used the meme to take a dig at Uday Chopra for tweeting that marijuana should be legalised for its medicinal benefits.
