Vishal Merges Fan Clubs Into People's Welfare Movement

  • The actor unveiled the organisation’s flag on the occasion of the 100th-day celebrations of his film 'Irumbu Thirai’.

In what many believe is a step to facilitate his political career, actor Vishal converted his fan clubs into the Makkal Nala Iyakkam (People’s Welfare Movement) on, Wednesday, August 29. Vishal unveiled the organisation’s flag, which has the words ‘Ani Servom’ (Let's come together) and ‘Anbai Vithaipom’ (Let's sow the seeds of love) embossed on it, on the occasion of the 100th-day celebrations of his film 'Irumbu Thirai’.

As per reports, Vishal, while talking to the media, Vishal assured the people of the Thiruparankundram of his support. Filmmaker S A Chandrasekar reportedly advised his son, actor Vijay to overcome the barriers and venture into politics. He further added that he has great expectations for Vijay. The actor had attempted to set his foot into politics last year, however, the Election Commission cited discrepancies in his nomination papers and rejected his candidacy.

The film’s 100 day celebrations of 'Irumbu Thirai’ were kicked off with the lighting of the lamp by Vishal’s mother, Samantha Akkineni, Kutty Padmini, Sundar C. During the event, while talking about Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sundar C said he would compare the composer to cricketer Virat Kohli who has the ability to come back with a century after scoring a duck. Yuvan Shankar Raja has given the background score for ‘Irumbu Thirai’. Furthermore, while talking about his relationship with Vishal, Sundar C. stated that what started off as a professional relationship has gone to become a deep personal relationship. The film also stars Samantha Akkineni and Arjun.

Meanwhile, Vishal is all set to star in the Tamil remake of NTR Jr’s super hit Telugu film ‘Temper’. The film will be directed by Venkat Mohan with Raashi Khanna as the female lead. Vishal will start work on the film post the completion of ‘Sandakozhi 2’. The actor will reportedly shed a few kilos and get on to a rigorous workout regime as a part of the preparation for his character in the film produced by his production house Vishal Film Factory. ‘Temper’ starred NTR Jr and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles with Prakash Raj as the antagonist. The film is also being remade in Hindi by Rohit Shetty. The Hindi remake titled ‘Simmba’ stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles and is produced by filmmaker Karan Johar.
