According to reports, Malayalam actor Sunny Wayne was present at the unveiling. From his song exploding at its loudest, fireworks setting off, spotlight on Vijay's face at the time of the unveiling to flags being waved, the event, held on November 2, was no less than a festival. Not just that, there was more dance and music, obviously on Thalapathy’s songs,  from an energetic group. The fan club also reportedly announced Rs 1 lakh for social service.

Later they also shared that people from far were coming to have a look at the cutout, which had become a tourist attraction, but they have decided to pull it down due to weather and for safety.
