The drama also stars Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims and Tyler Labine. Earlier this year, the actor took off to New York in order to shoot for the show. The TV series revolves around Dr Max Goodwin played by Eggold - the newest medical director who is determined to provide extraordinary care to the patients. Anupam Kher will be seen portraying the role of Vijay Kapoor, a neurologist, in the show. 'New Amsterdam'. Many are speculating that the show will be the next big thing in international television. Reportedly, commenting on his involvement in the project, the actor stated that he is glad to be part of it.

Apart from 'New Amsterdam' the actor will be seen in the upcoming film 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.
