Television actor Karanvir Bohra was temporarily detained at the Moscow airport for travelling with a damaged passport. However, the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the officials came to his rescue and helped him get a temporary passport and visa on short notice.
Taking to Twitter, the Bohra thanked the External Affairs Minister and the officials and wrote ' "I have no words to thank the Indian Embassy in Moscow for helping me get a brand new temporary passport and a visa. Celebrity or no celebrity, I know one thing for sure, we Indians are in very safe hands when we travel abroad... Thanks to Sushma Swaraj and the Indian Embassy for their help."
How also posted a video of the same on the photo-sharing app, Instagram, where he can be heard narrating the whole incident and thanking all the people who have helped him.
Reportedly, Karanvir had to wait at the Moscow airport for over nine hours after the officials found out that he was travelling with a damaged passport. The actor was in Russia to attend the MacCoffee Bollywood Film Festival.
