On Tuesday, the contestants of the ongoing season of Bigg Boss were woken up with the Bollywood music, 'Saath Samundar Paar', giving them a hint of the upcoming task. In this season of the show, some contestants entered the show in pairs, while some entered individually. For the recent luxury budget task, the contestants were divided into two teams- singles and Jodis. This task will have a simultaneous impact on the captaincy task and the nomination process. On Monday, Dipika Kakar, Karanvir Bohra, Kriti Verma-Roshmi Banik and Romil Chaudhary-Nirmal Singh were nominated for the week's eviction process.

Ahead of airing the task on television, the makers shared a glimpse of the task on Twitter. In the following video, Nehha Pendse and Karanvir Bohra can be seen getting tortured by the 'jodis', who have been dressed as pirates. The 'jodis' are trying their best into forcing the singles to give up and hand over the golden ring which they possess.

The task titled “Samudri Lootere” involves celebrity contestants who own a golden ring. They’ll be imprisoned by the ‘jodis’. The ‘jodis’ is supposed to make the task difficult for the single contestants. They are expected to torment the singles until they surrender and hand over the golden ring to the ‘jodis’. In the videos shared on social media, the 'jodis' are trying to make them give up by throwing all possible kitchen ingredients on them.

S Sreesanth would not be a part of the task. He will, however, be guiding the celebrity team. Karanvir Vohra, Srishty Rode, Dipika Kakkar and Nehha Pendse will give tough competition to the couples during the task. After failing in the luxury budget task in the first week, it is extremely important for the contestants to win this luxury budget task this week, or else they may be facing bigger challenges.
