Devotional singer Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu raised eyebrows as they entered the twelfth season of reality show 'Bigg Boss' as a couple. The duo chose to disclose their relationship status as they were being introduced to the audience before they entered the Bigg Boss house. The revelation of their relationship and their participation in the reality show as a couple reportedly came as a shock for Jasleen's parents. As soon as the couple entered the house, fellow contestants, as well as viewers, have had their opinion about the duo. While some thought that the relationship was genuine, the rest had their reservations about it.
Jasleen's father, Kesar Matharu, who knows Jalota personally reportedly introduced his daughter to him so she could polish her singing skills. However, Kesar didn't have an inkling that the duo was dating since the past three and a half years. As per reports, Kesar said that he will never approve of his daughter's relationship with Jalota and that his family and friends were equally shocked and upset with the revelation. When asked about the way in which the audience had reacted to Jasleen's and Anup's relationship, he stated that he is not at all disturbed about what people think and further stressed by the fact that his daughter is a very trained singer and he does not think that there is any point of seeking cheap publicity, as reported.
After Jasleen's father, singer Anup Jalota's ex-wife, Sonali Rathod has opened up about his relationship. As per reports, mentioning that she doesn't follow 'Bigg Boss', Sonali had best wishes to offer to the couple. Reports suggest that Rathod initially questioned as to why she would talk about her ex-husband and went on to reportedly say that she had moved on and is very happy in her life. She then wished Jalota all the very best in his life personally as well as professionally.
On the professional front, Anup is a renowned singer mainly known for his devotional songs. Seems like the singer is quite popular in the 'Bigg Boss' house as well. The singer entertained fellow housemates by playing the role of 'Dilfek Rajkumar' in a task. He also went on to sing Sunny Leone's popular dance number 'Baby Doll' in his Bhajan style and left fellow housemates laughing.
