Singer Anup Jalota who was evicted from 'Bigg Boss 12' on October 28, 2018, after leaving the house made a statement saying that he was never in a relationship with the 28-year-old Jasleen Matharu and that he had previously spoken to her dad and had asked if he could do Jasleen's 'Kanyadaan'. Reportedly, the 28-year-old's father responded to Jalota saying that both Jalota and he will perform Jasleen's 'Kanyadaan'.
Earlier, the singer claimed that his relationship with the 28-year-old Jasleen Matharu was just scripted by the show. He revealed that the people did not understand their relationship which was just a musical one and that they were not involved romantically or physically.
Further stating that Jasleen's father was his very old friend, he claimed that he has known Jasleen and her family for a very long time and that a lot of times, he and her family have spent quality time together. However, he denies reports of them ever seeing each other romantically.
A few months back, Jasleen confirmed her relationship with the 65-year-old bhajan samrat, she also mentioned that the two have been in a relationship for three and a half years. The young singer stated that the news was a shock to her parents.
Previously, Kesar Matharu had expressed his disappointment over the declaration of his daughter Jasleen's relationship with Anup Jalota on the twelfth season of reality television show 'Bigg Boss'. According to reports, Kesar said that he had no clue about his daughter's relationship with Jalota and that Jasleen had told him that the duo was to enter as a guru-shishya Jodi. Kesar also said that the couple's revelation of their relationship on the show left his family in shock.
On the professional front, Anup is a renowned singer mainly known for his devotional songs. Anup is quite popular in the Bigg Boss house as well. The singer entertained fellow housemates by playing the role of 'Dilfek Rajkumar' in a task. He also went on to sing Sunny Leone's popular dance number 'Baby Doll' in his Bhajan style and left fellow housemates laughing.
Talking about 'Bigg Boss', the show started in Hindi but was later adapted into Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. The hosts of those ventures are also big names of the respective industries like Mahesh Manjrekar, Kamal Haasan, Nani and Jr NTR, and Mohanlal, respectively.
