Dipika Kakar took home the ‘Bigg Boss’ trophy last month after a journey of over 100 days where she was the closest to Sreesanth. However, her victory seems to have angered an alleged fan of the ex-cricketer, who threatened her with acid attack, following which support poured in for the actress, condemning the threat.
In a Twitter post, the man vented out his anger apparently over her fan club saying ‘bad’ things about Sreesanth. The person also stated that he will troll her, attack her personal life and even went on to express his intention of coming to Mumbai and attacking Dipika with acid.
Dipika’s fan club brought the matter to the Mumbai Police’s notice and pleaded with them to arrest him.
Several other celebrities joined in to condemn the disgusting tweet. Even Surbhi Rana, who was at loggerheads with Sreesanth on the show, in an interview with a portal, called it ‘insane’ and said that the person should be slapped hard, tracked down and arrested.
The ex-cricketer's wife Bhuvneshwari also reacted to the news to convey the couple’s thoughts that no from his fan family, ‘Sreefam’ could write such a thing, and that it could be posted by someone portraying himself as a fan.
She added that had they had also received abusive tweets from other fan clubs and they were not in their control but expressed her trust in her husband’s fans.
