After winning hearts with her remarkable performance in Ekta Kapoor's Television opera 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' as Komolika, Hina Khan is in the news yet again, thanks to her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2019. On Wednesday, May 15 the actress finally graced the red carpet of the international event during the screening of 'Bacurau' and her gorgeous avatar stole all the limelight.

She was dazzling in a Ziad Nakad couture as she posed for the paparazzi in the red carpet. The long shimmery outfit with a trail and the sleeves was just the adequate sparkle the night needed.

This is the first time Hina Khan walked the Cannes red carpet. Besides her, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra will also grace the event for the first time. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Deepika Padukone, and Huma Qureshi will, as always, walk the red carpet but India will have nothing to show for its massive yearly output of films in any of the main sections of the festival this year.

The 72nd Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday with India missing from the official selection for the first time this decade. The last time the world's largest movie-producing nation drew a blank in Cannes was in 2009.  The 2019 edition of the 12-day festival (May 14 to 25) will open with the screening of Jim Jarmusch's zombie satire 'The Dead Don't Die', one of 21 titles competing for the Palme d'Or.
