The fact that 'Bigg Boss' is into its 12th season is in itself the biggest indicator of its popularity. And apart from Salman Khan, there are many other reasons for the show grabbing eyeballs every single year. One of them is obviously the presence of several known faces, some controversial ones, who decide to challenge themselves by testing their resilience in the 'Bigg Boss' house.

But among the list of contestants this time, former cricketer Sreesanth is not just arguably the most popular, but also leads in the controversy department. The former Indian player's journey in the 'Bigg Boss' has not been any less controversial. He has broken down multiple times, requested to leave the house on many occasions and has fought with a lot of his co-contestants on the show.

Some of his most heated exchanges of late has been with Surbhi Rana. And as the two got locked in the 'kaalkothri' recently, the verbal duels continued. Grappling with her repeated taunts, the cricketer seems to have accidentally revealed why he is still in the show. Sreesanth was heard saying that he is being paid Rs 2.5 crores to go through this.

The amount is surely a big one, but we're not sure how his pay is as compared to the other stars of the show. Earlier, it was reported that Anup Jalota is charging Rs 40 lakh per week, Nehha Pendse, who has been evicted, and Karanvir Bohra are being paid Rs 20 lakh per week and Dipika Kakkar makes Rs 15 lakhs per week. The ex-cricketer surely has broken an important 'Bigg Boss' rule as their remuneration for the show is one of the many pieces of information that they are strictly forbidden from revealing.
