'Game of Thrones' always manages to grab attention owing to the show's popularity and the eighth season was certainly not going to receive any different treatment. 'GoT' has a reputation for being unpredictable and enthralling audiences who have seen characters being built up, brought to the fore and then, often, being unceremoniously killed off. Now, the news of the finale has built upon the curiosity and fans cannot contain their excitement, this doesn't surprise us.

Recently, HBO unveiled the first footage of the final season of the fantasy, yet reality-striking series. Not only does the footage have glimpses of the upcoming finale of the show, but also has snippets of other upcoming shows of 2019. Along with the final season of 'Sharp Objects', it features series such as 'Camping', 'Veep' and 'Pod Save America'. Coming back to the first glance of 'Game of Thrones', we can see the present King of North. Yes, we are talking about Jon Snow hugging Sansa Stark hoping that all is well and the much-loved Starks of the show reunite. Have a look at the first glimpse of the final season of Game of Thrones!

The show began in 2011, and just with the end of the first episode, the audience were left jaw-dropped and shocked with the number of twists and turns in the show. As the eighth and the final season is nearing, let's look at a few highlights of the show. The first and foremost is, the fourth episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones titled 'Soils of War' wherein a very tactical and content conversation played out between Queen Cersei Lannister and Tycho Nestoris — played by ‘Sherlock’ writer Mark Gatiss — where the Iron Bank extends their support to the Lannisters, Tycho mentions the name ‘The Golden Company’. Now the book readers would have already gone bonkers with the mention of that name. But for others, The Golden Company is a group of sellswords founded by Aegon Rivers — the bastard son of Targaryen ruler Aegon IV. And then, When the supreme schemester of Westeros, Petyr Baelish tries his way with the three-eyed raven A.K.A Brandon Stark, Bran utters ‘Chaos is a ladder’ to which Littlefinger has no response. Now it’s probably easy to miss out but these were the same words said by Baelish when he sent assassins to kill Bran in the first place sure. And recently, the last season saw the death of 'Viserion' by the White Walkers. It was probably one of the most heartbreaking episodes of all times.
