The year 2019 means only one thing for fans of the famous fantasy show 'Game of Thrones'. The final season of the series will be finally coming out this year. While the makers have already teased with a couple of small videos on what is to come in this climactic season, the release date of the actual season still remained a mystery. Well, not anymore for the makers have finally unveiled the big date.

Taking to Twitter, the official Game of Thrones handle posted a small video where they announced that the show will air on April 14, 2019. They simply captioned the post as, "April 14. #ForTheThrone." As for the video, it is goosebumps-inducing indeed as it will leave you emotional and hyped at the same time.

It shows Jon Snow walking in the tombs of Winterfell where his father and mother are now buried, in the spirit at least. Joining him are Arya Stark and Sansa Stark and the three siblings stand strong and united, empowered by their parent's words as they are ready to avenge the massacre the Starks endured. However, then comes the cold, the white cold that soon encompasses everything around them.

Of course, the video is purely symbolic as it hints at what can be expected from this season. While the fighting between the houses of Stark and Lannister is never ending, this season has a bigger threat looming over every mortal in Westeros- the White Walkers and the army of the dead. This season will finally answer if Jon Snow is truly Azor Azhai that is spoken about in legends, whose sword will vanquish the Night King and his huge army.

To do a small recap, the last season of 'Game of Thrones' ended in a real cliffhanger as the Night King finally blasts past The Wall, the only thing that kept the walkers away from humans for centuries. With the help of the now undead dragon Viserion, the White Walkers easily break the wall of ice and start marching into Westeros, spelling doom for every living man, woman and child in the seven kingdoms.
