7:05 AM: Filmmaker Glenn Weiss proposed his girlfriend on the stage of the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards. As the director went up to the stage to accept the award for a variety special, remembered his mother and talked about how his mother loved his girlfriend. Going down on his knees for his beloved the filmmaker said, "You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife." The crowd cheered this unique way of proposing during Emmys.
