Netflix and Marvel Entertainment have released the poster of the third season of the web television series 'Daredevil'. After releasing the teaser trailer of the upcoming season of the Netflix show a week ago, Marvel Entertainment has unveiled the poster of the same on Wednesday, September 19 and it looks grave and gloomy.

Shared on Instagram by Marvel Entertainment's official account, the poster depicts Daredevil's familiar horned mask placed on top of a cross, with the intriguing tagline "Let there be darkness. Season 3 of "Marvel's @Daredevil" is coming soon."

The web television series 'Daredevil' narrates the story of Matt Murdock, who is an advocate by profession and secretly at night, takes up the role of a vigilante. Talking about the new poster, Marvel studios in an official statement said, "Daredevil's mask hanging from a cross invokes Matt Murdock's Catholic faith, a defining characteristic of the Marvel vigilante, especially in the "Born Again" storyline that season three is said to be inspired by."

Murdock who was accidentally blinded by a child uses his heightened senses to fight crime on the streets of New York City as Daredevil. The series is the first Netflix venture based on a Marvel Comics character. Season 3 of 'Daredevil' was introduced as a special bonus on the end of Marvel's 'Iron Fist' Season 2. English actor Charlie Thomas Cox is featured as Matt Murdock in the series. The cast of the series also includes Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Bob Gunton, Ayelet Zurer, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Élodie Yung and Stephen Rider.  

As per reports, Wilson Bethel and Jay Ali will be joining the crew for the upcoming season. The first and the second season of Marvel’s 'Daredevil' are currently streaming on the online streaming portal, Netflix, and the Season 3 is all set to release in 2018. 'Daredevil' premiered on Netflix on April 10, 2015, and the second season was released on March 18, 2016.
