There are some shows and movies where it’s hard for one to imagine anyone else in the respective roles. This becomes harder when one has seen them every episode, every season and every year. That could be what the fans of MasterChef Australia would be feeling as judges for a decade, Matt Preston, Garry Mehigan, George Colambaris are bidding adieu to the popular show.
The official Instagram handle of MasterChef Australia made the announcement, “After 11 sensational seasons, we bid a fond farewell to our judges - Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris. For more than a decade, #MasterChefAU has celebrated Australian food and made the culinary dreams of everyday home cooks come true. We thank Matt, George and Gary for being a part of this remarkable MasterChef legacy!”
The trio has been judges in all the 11 seasons starting from 2009. The makers are yet to announce who their replacements would be for the next season.
The eleventh season is currently underway and the finale is set to be aired on Tuesday night.
One out of Larissa Takchi, Simon Toohey or Tessa Boersma will take home the top prize.
