Lenovo-owned Motorola released its new foldable phone at a keynote event in Los Angeles on November 13. The Moto Razr is a next-generation foldable phone just like its predecessor. We all remember seeing this legendary foldable phone that was released in 2004. The mobile does not disappoint and has managed to take people down a nostalgic lane. Moto Razr 2019 is a new take on the old Razr as it operates on Android OS and has a 6.2-inch screen. The phone was launched as competition to Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. Here is how Moto Razr stands apart from the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

Processor

The Moto Razr is a nostalgic- and futuristic-looking phone. The phone's body is made up of stainless steel and the resin on the back gives it a plastic-like feel. The small display glass outside the phone is reportedly Gorilla Glass 3. The Moto Razr is powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor, which is a mid-range chipset compared to the flagship chipsets available. The fold, on the other hand, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is a flagship chipset.

Display

The Motorola Razr has an internal display of 6.2-inches which has pOLED with a ratio of 2,142x876p pixels (21:9). The external display is a 2.7-inch glass OLED with 800x600-pixels (4:3), which has Gorilla Glass 3. The Samsung Galaxy Fold has an internal 7.3-inch dynamic AMOLED display with a ratio of 2,152x1,536-pixels, which is made of plastic. The external display is a 4.6-inch dynamic AMOLED screen with 1,680x720-pixels and has Gorilla Glass 6.

Camera

The Motorola Razr has 16-megapixel external f/1.7, dual pixel Auto Focus camera, and a 5-megapixel internal camera. Whereas Galaxy Fold has 12-megapixel wide-angle, plus 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 12-megapixel telephoto lens as its primary camera. The selfie, front camera is the same as the main 16-megapixel external camera in the Razr. The Galaxy Fold has one 10-megapixel and an 8-megapixel 3D depth selfie camera.

Storage, battery and price

The Razr has 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM. Whereas the Fold has 512GB ROM and 12GB RAM. The Razr has a battery of 2,510 mAh and the Fold has 4,380 mAh battery. The Moto Razr is priced at $1,499(roughly ₹ 1,08,122) whereas the Galaxy Fold is $1,980 (₹164,999). Both the phones have no headphone jack and use a type C charger.
