Punya Selva is a rising star from Edgware, London. She is a Doctor by profession, but music is her passion. She can cross seven oceans to be a great singer and polish her singing skills, which is evident as the singer has come to India to win the hearts of many and realize her dream of music. Born in the town of Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, the singer has made a name for her and is now a global phenomenon. She holds a degree of M.B.B.S. and was working as a doctor before the show aired. Punya Selva had to leave her job in order to be a part of this leading music television show. In the introduction round of the show, she surprised everyone with her amazing voice. Her song of the hour was Uyire, from the movie Velaikaran. She had performed along with Yogi  Sekharan and Poornima, who both were contestants on the show. In season 7 of the show, she got selected under Swetha and Benny’s team. Punya’s team included many talented singers but now the responsibility of the team lies totally on Punya and Gowtham’s shoulders. The talented singer has already started getting offers from the Music Industry, as she had been offered to be the voice behind the songs of the upcoming movie Bakrid.
