Amitabh Bachchan has returned to the small screen with the season 10 of the popular television game reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The show features on air on weekdays at prime time. On Thursday, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Bachchan started the show with Shyamlal from Jharkhand who was the rollover contestant from Wednesday.
As the game was progressing, one of the questions that came up was, “Who started the 'Hum Fit Toh India Fit' challenge?" The #FitnessChallenge, which had gone viral on social media was an initiative propagated by Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports ministries. Col Rathore published his own video where he demonstrates how he has added a fitness regimen to his daily work-day. He put forth the challenge for others and people from all walks of life, including politicians, members of the Bollywood and film and entertainment industry, took up the challenge under the slogan 'hum fit toh India fit'.
Amitabh Bachchan suggested Shyamlal take up the challenge and hit the gym to achieve his fitness goals. At the same time, Shyamlal's wife who was sitting in the audience said that she too has been insisting her husband take up fitness seriously, but all her plea go to deaf years. Shyamlal, who seemed embarrassed, said that he loves his sleep and has even tried hitting the gym, but failed at his attempts. Apart from suggesting the contestant to join a gym, the host also inspired him to start his days early and to begin the day with morning walk. Shyamlal, who owns a mobile shop in Jharkhand, was a tough contestant and did not use any lifeline until the eighth question. He won an amount of Rs 12.5 lakhs on the show.
On the work front, the actor is simultaneously shooting for two films. He is working on Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan is also filming for Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Badla’, for which he will be reuniting with Taapsee Pannu after the successful 'Pink'. Both the movies are slated to release in 2019.
