Alan Walker Hyderabad Concert: As a part of his India tour, the singer was scheduled to perform in Hyderabad on October 20, which now stands cancelled.
Alan Walker Hyderabad Concert: The British-Norwegian DJ is currently on his India tour. After performing in Mumbai, Pune, Kochi and Delhi-NCR, the singer was scheduled to perform in Hyderabad. However, the organisers could not secure valid permissions causing the show to be cancelled.
Why is Alan Walker's Hyderabad concert cancelled?
On October 17, several fans took to this X (formerly Twitter) to share they had received a message from the ticketing app confirming that the Alan Walker show in Hyderabad was cancelled. BookMyShow assured the fans that they would get a refund on their tickets. This was followed by the singer sharing the news on social media.
In a statement, Alan Walker shared on his Instagram account, he wrote, “Hyderabad, I was really excited to return with my Walkerworld experience, but unfortunately, we were unable to secure the necessary permits to hold the concert.” He added that the organisers decided to make the gig ‘alcohol-free’ but that was also ‘not accepted by the authorities’. He added, “Despite our best choice no choice but to cancel the show.” He concluded the note by writing, “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused. All ticket holders will receive a full refund from BMS. I hope to see you again soon, Hyderabad.”
Alan Walker fans express disappointment
As soon as the concert attendees received the message of show cancellation, they took to social media accounts to express disappointment. A user wrote, “2 months of waiting is now in vain.” Another mentioned “Exactlyy bruh I've been waiting for this for so long”.
As per reports, the show has been cancelled after the Hyderabad police reviewed the events that took place at the Alan Walker concert in 2022 and 2023. As per Deccan Chronicle, Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty said, "The two previous incidents were taken into consideration. The traffic wing too raised significant concerns leading to a not-so favourable report. This is a broad decision based on these observations."
