Coldplay India Concert Triggers Rise In Hotel Prices Near Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium
Coldplay is set to perform in India after nine years on January 18, 19 and 21, ahead of it several 5-star hotels are fully booked.
Coldplay is returning to India with their world tour Music of the Spheres in January 2025. On Sunday, the tickets for the same went live on Bookmyshow, creating major havoc so much so that the British Band had to announce a third show in Mumbai. Even the hospitality sector has found a good opportunity by soaring the prices of hotels in Mumbai.
Hotels near DY Patil Stadium hike prices
British rock band is set to perform after nine years in India on January 18, 19 and 21. While the show sold out within hours, now, hotels located near DY Patil Stadium are fully booked, particularly for the concert dates. While other hotels have hiked their prices, costing an individual around Rs 3-5 lakhs for three nights.
The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Fortune Select Exotica and Taj Vivanta do not have any rooms available, per MakeMyTrip and their official websites.
Another hotel The Park Navi Mumbai near the stadium, which also offers views of the stadium just like the above three, charges Rs 98,499 (excluding taxes) per night, around the time when Coldplay will be in India for the concert.

After adding a third show to their India tour, the British band has announced Infinity Tickets at an affordable price. It will go live on BookMyShow on November 22, Friday at 12 PM IST. These tickets will be offering surprise seating arrangements which will be revealed on the day of the concert. "Infinity Tickets are randomly allocated anywhere in the venue - from the back row to the floor to the best seat in the house," reads the statement. They cost the equivalent of £20 / $20 / €20 (INR 2000) per ticket and must be brought in Pairs.
