Akshay Kumar has faced a setback recently as his latest project Sarfira failed to perform well at the box office. The film hit the big screens on July 12 and has been able to mint only ₹21.38 crore in its theatrical run. This comes after the actor's last release Bade Miyan Chote Miyan too failed at the box office. The actor has now penned a note for the result.

Akshay Kumar shares a shayari on holiday

Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar, who is on holiday is in the mood for some ‘shayari’ and has shared a gem by poet Bashir Badr. Taking to Instagram, Akshay, who has 67.7 million followers on the photo-sharing application, dropped a picture with a shayari written on it.

The shayari reads: "Aankhon mein raha, dil mein utar kar nahi dekha... Kashti ke musafir ne samandar nahi dekha! Be-waqt agar jaaunga, sab chaunk padenge... Ek umr hui, din mein kabhi, ghar nahi dekha! Jis din se chala hoon, meri manzil pe nazar hai... Aankhon ne kabhi meel ka patthar nahi dekha! Yeh phool mujhe koi virasat mein mile hain? Tumne mera kaanton bhara bistar nahi dekha! Yaaron ki mohabbat ka yaqeen kar liya maine... Phoolon mein chupaaya hua khanjar nahi dekha!"

Akshay captioned the post as: "On a holiday and in the mood to read some shayari. Came across this gem by Bashir Badr sahab. Kya khoob likha hai!"

Akshay Kumar says people in Bollywood like to see each other fail

In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar opened up about dealing with failure. The actor shared that in the industry he has seen people laughing and being happy about their peers' failures. He spoke about the failure of Sarfira and how people celebrated it.

In an interview with Galatta Plus, Akshay Kumar shared, “Yeah, it is there. People love seeing it when three-four-five films don’t work. People (in the industry) love seeing it. I’ve seen it myself. Inka ye picture nahi chala (His picture didn’t work), other people are happy.” He added, “Don’t put others down. I see it in politics, I see it in my own industry. Ek hero dusre hero ko gaali deta hai, director usko gaali deta hai, producer uss hero ko gaali deta hai (everybody is calling each other names). I just fail to understand why you all are abusing each other. There is so much of energy that is just going waste.”
