The whole Bachchan family was snapped at the ceremony to support Jaya. When she was called on to the stage, Aishwarya along with other family members was seen clapping and hooting for Jaya. It was then, that Jaya announced that she won't be retiring from films. "Forget it, I'm not retiring. I've just begun again." She thanked director Satyajit Ray for being "a great influence" to her. She also acknowledged director Hrishikesh Mukherjee's contribution to her career and said, "A father-like figure who I miss greatly. He would have been very happy today."
