Box Office: Deadpool & Wolverine Eyeing Good 2nd Weekend, Bad Newz Becomes Vicky's 5th ₹100 Cr Film

Deadpool & Wolverine and Bad Newz Box Office: Both the Hollywood and Bollywood biggies have held a steady business ahead of the weekend.

Deadpool & Wolverine and Bad Newz Box Office: Deadpool & Wolverine hit the big screens on July 26. The Marvel movie opened to a staggering number at the box office, becoming one of the highest Hollywood openers in the country. The movie enjoyed a solo release at the box office but had to deter competition from Kalki 2898 AD and Bad Newz which was released a few weeks before the Hollywood biggie. While the Marvel movie is inching towards entering the ₹100 crore club in India, the Vicky Kaushal-Triptii Dimri starrer Bad Newz has raked in ₹100 crore at the worldwide box office.  

Deadpool & Wolverine inches towards ₹100 crore at the Indian box office

Deadpool & Wolverine raked in ₹21 crore at the Indian box office. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the lead, titular roles. The film registered a growth in business on the following weekend. On the first Saturday of release, the Marvel movie minted ₹22.65 crores in India followed by ₹22.3 crores on Sunday, as per Sacnilk.

After almost a week of theatrical runs, Deadpool & Wolverine has collected ₹84.65 crore at the domestic box office. The Marvel movie has also become the highest Hollywood opener of the year following Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire which raked in ₹12.60 crore. Deadpool And Wolverine has also become the sixth highest-grossing Hollywood movie in India on day 1 ever. The movie has surpassed the opening-day collections of Thor Love And Thunder and Oppenheimer to clench the sixth spot.

Bad Newz crosses ₹100 crore at worldwide box office

Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk feature together in the comedy-drama Bad Newz. The movie opened to a decent ₹8.3 crore in India. At the end of its two-week theatrical run, the movie has minted a total of ₹55.85 crore in India.

Overseas, the movie has raked in ₹34 crore. In total the film has collected ₹100.5 crore worldwide, as per Sacnilk. For Vicky Kaushal, it is his 3rd 100 crores gross out of the last 4 films in the leading roles, after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Sam Bahadur.
