Gulshan Devaiah's 'Not Vibing' With Janhvi Kapoor Comment Backfires? Actor Missing From Ulajh Events

Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah will share the screen space for the first time in the upcoming movie Ulajh. The film will hit the big screens on August 2 and the cast and crew have been actively attending pre-release events of the film. However, in recent events, Gulshan has been missing the events that Janhvi and other cast members attend. 

Did Gulshan Devaiah-Janhvi Kapoor have a fallout? 

Gulshan Devaiah and Janhvi Kapoor recently attended an interview before the release of Ulajh together. During their appearance, Gulshan's witty and sharp answers left netizens impressed. Social media users pointed out instances when Ramleela actor indirectly called Kapoor out for her behaviour. 

In an interview with Film Companion, Gulshan said, “We don't vibe that way. It's not like we are sitting and chatting. We don't vibe at all actually.” The actor further claimed that Janhvi neither finds him funny nor interesting. The Dhadak actress burst out laughing at this and added, “This is the funniest thing you have said though.” Gulshan continued, “Early on, it was like, 'Bro, you are not vibing.' It is not going to be like we are going to spend time, get to know somebody and use that familiarity in the performance. That's not going to happen. That happens in other places. With other actors, you vibe like that, not necessarily become friends, but you find something common or interesting about them or something to do together. But I never felt that was getting in the way of us doing the scenes. It didn't feel like 'Oh, I am not getting enough or something is lacking'." He shared that despite not sharing a friendship, they were able to bring out their best for the movie." 

Janhvi concurred with Gulshan and added that she would get calls from the film team to hang out with the actor and bond better with him. She recalled, “I got a call on set once saying, 'You and Gulshan should go for coffee together because you aren't cracking jokes between the shots.' She was like, 'You should laugh at his jokes more otherwise he might feel intimidated, I don't know what's happening'.”

Gulshan Devaiah skips Ulajh pre-release events

Since his comments on his bond with the co-actor, Gulshan Devaiah has been seemingly missing from Ulajh pre-release events. The actor skipped the pre-release events that Janhvi Kapoor has been attending in the recent days from July 24. While there is no confirmation on why Gulshan has skipped the event, it has fuelled rumours of an ongoing tiff between him and Janvhi. However, it can also be a promotional strategy by the filmmakers to promote the movie better and make the audience see the actors together only on the big screen for the first time.
