Identifying problems in the film

Upon watching the initial cut of the movie, Vanga identified several shortcomings that affected the overall quality. He pinpointed issues with the song sequences, makeup inconsistencies, and costume discrepancies in specific scenes. Additionally, he mentioned sound-related problems, attributing the issue to overseeing multiple language versions during the post-production process.

Vanga admitted to staying in the mixing room for extended periods during the final stages of production due to the complexities encountered, especially regarding sound quality. For the OTT release, he revealed plans to address these concerns meticulously. The director mentioned re-editing certain sequences, adding additional shots from the same takes, and reinstating approximately 5-6 minutes of previously cut footage to improve the final version.

Parineeti Chopra's casting decision explained

In an intriguing revelation with Pinkvilla, Vanga disclosed his previous intention to cast Parineeti Chopra in the film, a decision made well before the shoot commenced. However, he admitted that he couldn't visualize her as Geetanjali, citing a lack of suitability between the character and the actor. Vanga shared his history with Parineeti, expressing a desire to work with her since his earlier film, Kabir Singh. Regrettably, due to an inability to cast her in that role, he found himself in a similar situation with Animal.
