Ratan Tata Dies: The veteran industry titan breathed his last at the age of 86 on October 9. Celebrities from all walks of life have taken to social media to share their condolences. Amitabh Bachchan has now taken to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share his heartfelt condolence for the doyen.

Amitabh Bachchan pens a note for Ratan Tata

On October 10, hours after the passing away of Ratan Tata, Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media account to pen a note for the late industrialist. He opened a note remembering the times they spent together during campaigns. The veteran actor called Ratan Tata a ‘visionary leader’ in his note.

The Kalki 2898 AD actor wrote, "just came to learn of the passing of Shri Ratan Tata .. was working very late. An era has ended. a most respected, humble yet visionary leader of immense foresight and resolve. Spent some wonderful moments with him, during several Campaigns, we were involved in together  ..My prayers."

India has lost a gem: Anupam Kher on Ratan Tata's death

 The demise of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata has left everyone saddened. The entire nation, including members of the Indian film fraternity. Actor Anupam Kher also expressed grief and shared an anecdote of the time he met him in London.

Speaking to ANI, Anupam Kher said, " I used to feel that Ratan Tata would be there with us throughout our lives because when it comes to some people, you might not meet them every day but you can see their experience within the country's infrastructure, charity institutions, in the country's atmosphere and the goodness. So, today India has lost a gem and his name was Ratan Tata." Sharing his experience meeting with veteran industrialist, Kher added, "I met him in London a few years back, I spoke to him for 5-10 minutes. And then he said, 'I like your comedies. I laugh when I see you sometimes. Not very often, but rarely I saw one or two comedies.' But apart from that, I think if a person wants to set his own standard, then in that Ratan Tata will be at the top."

Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday night at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the mortal remains of the veteran industrialist have been kept on the lawns of the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) at Mumbai's Nariman Point to allow the masses to pay their last respects before the funeral ceremony. According to a statement from Tata Trust, the mortal remains will be taken on its final journey at 4 pm today.
