Singham Again Box Office Collection Day 5: Ajay Devgn Film Zooms Past ₹150 Crore Despite Dip

Singham Again Box Office Collection: The Ajay Devgn starrer hit the big screens on November 1, coinciding with Diwali . The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and features Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shoff, Deepika Padukone , Ranveer Singh , and Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles. The Diwali holidays and extended weekend helped the film's box office collections but it has now registered a dip in collections.

Singham Again box office collections take a hit after Diwali 

Singham Again opened to a staggering Rs 43.5 core on Day 1. According to the trade website Sacnilk, the movie minted Rs 121.75 crore (India net collection) by Sunday. However, the first Monday hit hard for the movie. As per Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 17.50 crore on day 4. The first working day after extended holidays can be attributed to the fall in business.

The same continued on day 5 of the movie. The actioner raked in Rs13.50 crore as per Sacnilk. The movie's total business now stands at a positive Rs 153.25 crore. While the film has breached the coveted Rs 150 crore mark, it continues to register a decline at the box office.

Singham Again box office collections marred by allegations of corporate bookings, self-buying

Bollywood filmmakers have recently been accused of highlighting inflated box office collections. Most recently, Alia Bhatt was accused of corporate bookings for Jigra. A similar controversy surrounded Singham Again. Social media users and industry trackers believe that the film's final collection has been inflated by employing corporate bookings and self-buying. Additionally, some have even argued that the prices of the tickets for the Rohit Shetty directorial were too high in the first weekend, which led to the increased prices.  

Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, the third instalment in the Singham franchise, features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor. Singham Again is presented by Jio Studios in association with Rohit Shetty Picturez and Devgn Films. It is the fifth film in Shetty's ambitious cop universe, which also stars Akshay and Ranveer's characters Veer Sooryavanshi and Sangram Simmba Bhalerao.
