The scene left the audience in splits with a chunk going viral on the internet.
Abhishek Banerjee had a 'blast' working with Akshay Kumar
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Abhishek was asked if it was challenging to control his laughter during the shoot. To this, the actor replied that he was on his toes while shooting the scene. Abhishek, who claims to be a huge fan of Akshay, said when he was told that he was going to do a scene with Akshay, he knew it was going to be a blast. "I enjoy comedy and I knew that he also enjoys comedy. What you saw on screen was a jam session between two actors. It’s like how two musicians jam. Guitar aur tabla leke bajate hai na musicians, waise hi hum dono jam kar rahe the. We were having fun and because of that, even the audience was having fun," he added.
Akshay Kumar sir really enjoyed on the set: Amar Kaushik
In an interview with Connect Cine, Amar revealed that he approached the actor for the cameo while they were working on Sky Force. He shared that after he narrated the scene, Akshay readily agreed. He further said that Akshay “really enjoyed” on the set and wanted multiple versions of the same scene. He gave multiple takes. “I was just seeing his energy and enjoying it so much. I put Abhishek in the scene and told him to do bindas acting with him, and the way it came out, we even fell laughing on the set. It was also an improvised scene. So, I was making Abhishek sit on the inside but Akshay sir added the line, ‘ come sit on my lap,’ in response, Abhishek added the Covid line. The script was hilarious but the way they acted…that’s how you make a scene beautiful,” he concluded.
