Vikas Sethi's death: Jhanvi Sethi informs that the actor's last rites will be carried out according to Hindu traditions on September 9 in Mumbai.
Vikas Sethi, known for his roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, died due to cardiac arrest in Nashik, confirms his wife Jhanvi Sethi. His wife told PTI that the actor was keeping unwell and he died due to cardiac arrest on Saturday night in his sleep. His last rites will take place today, September 9 in Mumbai.

She told PTI that they were in Nashik when the incident happened. They were in the city to attend a family function. The actor was vomiting and had loose motions. Despite his deteriorating health, he didn't want to visit the hospital. “After we reached my mother's house in Nashik, he had vomiting and loose motions. He didn't want to go to the hospital so we asked the doctor to come home. When I went to wake him up at around 6 am in the morning (on Sunday), he was no more. The doctor there told us he passed away last night (on Saturday) in his sleep due to cardiac arrest,” she told PTI.
Vikas' mortal remains have been sent for post-mortem to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, shared Jhnavi.

Jhanvi took to her Instagram handle to inform Vikas' fans about the actor's demise. She shared a post that reads, "In the loving memory of Vikas Sethi. With immense sorrow, we inform you about the passing of our beloved Vikas Sethi, who left us all on the 8th of September 2024." She further informed that the final rites of the actor will be carried out according to Hindu traditions on September 9. She signed off the note by writing, "Your presence, prayers and support in this trying time would be deeply appreciated. Regards Sethi Family."

The actor began his career with an adult film Oops and went on to play supporting roles in several hit TV shows and Bollywood films. His notable TV appearances include Kahiin To Hoga, as Swayam Shergill and in the Indian soap opera Kasautii Zindagi Kay, where he plays the role of Prem Basu. He has appeared in the reality-based show Nach Baliye 4, with his then-wife, Amita. Apart from TV, he has also appeared in Bollywood movies, including Deewaanapan and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He was last seen in Telugu action drama iSmart Shankar (2019), starring Ram Pothineni in the lead role.
