Actor Kevin Hart has filed a lawsuit against YouTuber LaTasha Kebe, known as Tasha K, accusing her of attempting to extort a significant sum of $250,000.

Actor Kevin Hart has filed a lawsuit against YouTuber LaTasha Kebe, known as Tasha K, accusing her of attempting to extort a significant sum of $250,000. The lawsuit alleges that Kebe interviewed Miesha Shakes, Hart's former assistant. Following that, false and defamatory statements regarding Hart were made.

Was Kevin Hart threatened?
Following the interview, a representative associated with Kebe purportedly threatened Hart's team, indicating that the interview's release could damage Hart's reputation in matters concerning his marriage and business. Kebe then teased the interview, emphasising its potentially damaging nature as leverage to coerce payment from Hart.

The interview, subsequently released on Kebe's subscription-based platform, contained allegations from Shakes, including claims of Hart's alleged gambling issues and infidelity. Hart's lawsuit targets both Kebe and Shakes, citing extortion, invasion of privacy, defamation, breach of contract, and intentional interference with contractual relations.
The interview, according to Hart's complaint, also "included false and defamatory statements regarding Hart and certain legal disputes in which he had been involved." The lawsuit added that Shakes made statement "that were false, including that Hart recorded a video of a sexual encounter, and that he faced criminal charges regarding that supposed incident."

Kebe's history of legal issues
Hart's lawsuit highlights Kebe's previous legal entanglements related to her online content targeting celebrities, including Cardi B. The actor points out Kebe's past history of posting defamatory content against high-profile individuals.
"Kebe has an established history of posting defamatory and otherwise improper content regarding celebrities," states Hart’s lawsuit.
Cardi B, a musician, won a case against Kebe in 2022, accusing the rapper of making "malicious" claims against her.
Meanwhile, Hart and ex-wife Torrei Hart have two children: Heaven, 18, and Hendrix, 16. Hart married Eniko Hart after divorcing Torrei in 2011, and they have two children: Kenzo, 6, and Kaori, 3.
