Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani's fairytale wedding came to an end with a dreamy reception ceremony. The three-day festivities commenced on July 12 and came to an end on July 14. Days after the wedding, the new bride has shared inside details from the festivities.
The Ambani wedding put Indian traditions in the limelight amid the glitz and glam put forth by high-profile guests from around the world. The younger Ambani bahu shared the details of the event and the intent behind choosing the dates for the festivities. In the same interview, she also shared who planned the meticulous events and her favourite day as the host of the bash.
In an interview with Vogue, Radhika shared, “The dates were strategically chosen from the 12th, 13th, and 14th of July upon the advice of our family pujari, who identified synchronic moments for our celebrations based on auspicious astrological alignments in both my charts as well as Anant’s.” Talking about the festivities, she said, “It was a meticulous process”.
In the same interview, Radhika shared, “My mother-in-law was the C.E.O. of the wedding, as I like to say.” The added, “It was Nita’s commitment and vision that brought our entire celebration to life.” She added that several event managers and house staff worked around the clock to orchestrate the multi-week affair.
Talking about the pre-wedding festivities, Radhika mentioned that the haldi ceremony was her event from the host of events. The ceremony was held on July 11. The new bride donned a custom Anamika Khanna outfit for the day. However, it was the Rs 27,000 real mogra ‘phoolon ki chadar’ for the bash. She said, “Our haldi is what I hold most dear to me.” She further described the ceremonies as “filled with joy”.
