Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 in Mumbai. The actors got married in an intimate setting with the presence of friends and family. A new inside video from the ceremony has now gone viral on social media.

On June 23, Sonakshi and Zaheer partook in a civil marriage at the actress’ residence. An inside video now shows the couple taking part in the puja ceremony. A priest can be seen guiding the couple while they perform the rituals. 

Alongside the couple, the actress’ parents could also be seen sitting. Veteran actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha also performed the rituals which were done following Hindu traditions. The bride and groom sat together with folded hands.

On June 26, days after the wedding of Sonakshi Sinha with Zaheer Iqbal, Shatrughan Sinha took to his X account to share unseen glimpses from the ceremony. The veteran actor also penned a note of gratitude along with the photos. He shared a video of Sonakshi Sinha walking down the aisle. 

The actor shared the glimpses with the note, “With an attitude of gratitude we would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us on our special day seems to be the 'wedding of the century' with your warmth, love, congratulatory messages for our darling daughter #SonakshiSinha with #ZaheerIqbal as they start a new chapter in their beautiful journey of their lives.” The actor seemingly took a dig at social media users who were trolling the newlyweds for having an inter-faith wedding.
