Sushmita Sen Urges Social Media Influencers To Not Risk Their Lives For 'Stupid Reels'

Sushmita Sen has sent out a strong message to all those people who risk their lives under social media influence to make video content. Her message has come after a 27-year-old travel influencer, Aanvi Kamdar, died after falling into a gorge. She was filming an Instagram reel at Kumbhe waterfall near Maharashtra's Raigad when the incident happened.

Sushmita Sen's message to people risking their lives for video content

The actress attended an award event in Mumbai on Friday, where she was asked by a reporter what message she would like to send out to youth or anyone who is putting their lives in danger for social media posts. The actress replied, "I have always said that digitally the world has grown exponentially and it's a good thing because one gets to learn a lot. But it's making people a little crazy... People are forgetting the difference between the real and reel world. Auro ki zindagi dekh ke aap yeh maan ney lage hai ki yeh aapki sacchai hai yeh duniya aisi hai."

She concluded by saying, "I'm telling you, I survived a heart attack and there is nothing like life, don't give it up for stupid reels."

For the unversed, Sushmita Sen suffered a heart attack last year in February while she was shooting for Aarya 3 in Jaipur. With the help of immediate treatment and surgery, she survived the attack.

While filming a video Aanvi slipped and fell into a 300-foot-deep gorge. After a six-hour rescue operation, she was brought out from the gorge but due to severe injuries she sustained in the fall, the influencer died at the hospital. She was a CA (Chartered Accountant) by profession and had worked at IT/Technology consulting company Deloitte. A travel enthusiast, her Instagram handle is filled with photos from her various trips. She also shared videos, giving her followers tips for a budget-friendly trip, how to plan a trip or how to quickly get done with the photos on a trip. She also dropped videos of herself exploring local markets and how to do street shopping.
