Veteran Actress Helen Takes Up Pilates At 85, Says ‘I Don’t Have to Drink or Smoke to Get A High’

Bollywood’s veteran actress Helen has taken the internet by shock in her latest video. The 85-year-old actress could be seen performing pilates effortlessly. A video of the same was shared by her trainer and is now doing rounds on social media. 

Helen performs advanced pilate moves 

On June 18, a video of actress Helen performing advanced pilates went viral on social media. The video was originally shared by trainer Yasmin Karachiwala. In the video, the actress could be heard expressing her happiness about performing the exercises and also sharing how it has benefited her overall health. 

She could be heard saying, “I am feeling so energetic, so alive, so happy, and look forward to this every day. I feel so good. It gives me a high. I don’t have to drink or smoke to get a high. I get high out of pilates. I love coming here. I thank all the instructors and my special instructor, Bimal. I am 85. I am doing it.” Sharing the video, the trainer wrote in the caption, “Age is just a number when you’re dancing through life with pilates.” 

Helen lists the advantages of Pilates in a viral video

In the same video, the actress also detailed how undertaking pilates regularly has aided her overall well-being. She shared that when she started working out she used to walk using a cane due to weak knees. She added that her condition has improved greatly ever since she started exercising and she even felt confident to begin dancing again. 

Helen also commented that Pilates gives her an adrenaline rush like none other and she does not feel the need to drink and smoke. The video concludes with the actress expressing gratitude to her trainers and instructors. Helen is one of the top actresses of her time and was also best known for her dance numbers in late 1970s Bollywood movies.
