Fighter, Merry Christmas, Guntur Kaaram: Movie releases to look forward to in January

January 2024 will see a bouquet of releases in theatres. Be it in Bollywood or Tollywood, there is an exquisite lineup of theatrical releases. The audience will be spoilt for choice in terms of genres as well as variety. With several films releasing at once, box office clashes are also imperative. 

Merry Christmas 

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Merry Christmas is one of the most anticipated releases of the month. After several delays in release, the film will finally hit the big screen on January 12. The film, which is helmed by Sriram Raghavan, follows two strangers as they begin a night of wild romance that takes an unforeseen turn on this fateful Christmas Eve.  

Fighter 

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer aerial action film Fighter will hit the big screens on the Republic Day holiday on January 25. The plot summary alludes to Shamsher Pathania's aspirational path when he joined the Indian Air Force with hopes of becoming a hero. 

Main Atal Hoon 

Main Atal Hoon is an upcoming biopic starring Pankaj Tripathi. The actor essays the role of the former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Tripathi's striking likeness to the former prime minister has already drawn attention to the poster and trailer, which indicate that the film will be a riveting viewing on the big screen on January 25.

Massive Tollywood clash 

The Mahesh Babu led Trivikram Srinivas directorial, Guntur Kaaram, also starring Sreeleela, is eyeing a release on January 12. Prashanth Varma's fantasy action drama HanuMan with Teja Sajja and Amritha Iyer in the lead is also slated for a release on the same date. Following close behind is the Ravi Teja led Eagle, directed by Karthik Gattamneni, eyeing a release on January 13. The makers of Naa Saami Ranga have set January 14 as the official release date for the Nagarjuna starrer release.
