Fast & Furious Star Tyrese Gibson Arrested Over Unpaid Child Support, Court Sets Release Conditions

Hollywood News: Tyrese Gibson, who is best known for his portrayal of Roman Pearce in Fast & Furious franchise, has landed himself in legal trouble. The Hollywood star has reportedly been arrested for denying to pay child support to his ex wife.

Tyrese Gibson detained during court hearing?

As per several media reports, Tyrese Gibson was detained after he was held in the contempt of court, as said by Fulton County Public Information Officer. The incident happened when Gibson refused to pay $10,000 per month in child support.

Judge Kevin Farmer ordered Gibson to pay the monthly amount in April 2023. When it became clear in Monday’s hearing that Gibson had not paid the amount, Farmer held him in contempt, and he was escorted out of the courtroom in handcuffs by a bailiff.

Further reports suggested that, the judge told Tyrese Gibson, he could avoid jail time if he paid $73,000, including his ex-wife’s attorney’s fees.

Reportedly, Gibson continued to accuse Farmer of “illegally” going against his and Samantha Lee’s prenup and increasing his child support payments, upping them from $3,600 per month to $10,690 per month.

Interestingly, hours before the court hearing, Gibson shared photos with his children on Instagram. He wrote in the caption, “The love that a father can have for his children can’t quite be explained……. Whatever the outcome is today…… I am and will forever be their FATHER………”

Later, a reporter shared update on social media and shared that Tyrese is currency arranging money which he owes to his ex-wife Samantha.
