AR Rahman on why Aadujeevitham didn’t qualify for Grammys
In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Connect Cine, Academy Award and Grammy-winning composer AR Rahman addressed the disqualification of the soundtrack for Blessy's Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) from the Grammy Awards.
"I did Goat Life for Blessy. We released four tracks and because it was one minute less or something, it didn't qualify for the Grammy entry," he explained. Rahman also mentioned that he did not submit the soundtracks for Ponniyin Selvan for Grammy consideration. "I don't think I put PS 1 and PS 2 on the list last year. I don't think we entered that one. It all depends on things coming together," he added.
AR Rahman had recently scored for Dhanush’s film Raayan, and has several upcoming projects, including music compositions for Chhaava, Thug Life and Gandhi Talks.
