Nivin Pauly Accused Of Sexual Assault Of Actress In Dubai- Case Filed Against Premam Star, 5 Others

Hema Committee Report: Popular Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has been named as one of the accused in a fresh case of sexual assault registered at the Oonnukal Police in Ernakulam. He and five others have reportedly been booked under non-bailable charges in the case. Nivin is one of the popular names that have come to the fore amid the #MeToo wave that has engulfed Mollywood in the wave of the publication of the Hema Committee Report on August 19. 

Woman names 6 in her sexual harassment complaint 

The woman claimed that she was asked to come to Dubai for discussions regarding a role but was sexually abused. Five more people have also been booked. Nivin is accused number 6. Producer AK Sunil has been named as the second accused. It is believed that a woman named Shreya is among the four other accused. The complainant approached the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was formed following the release of the Hema Committee Report. The SIT later notified the incident to Oonnukal police. Charges of rape under section 379 of the IPC have been filed against the accused. 

Reportedly, the complainant told the police that she was called to Dubai last year in November on the pretext of a role in a movie opposite Nivin and was sexually assaulted there.
