Siddique Sexual Assault Case: Supreme Court Grants Anticipatory Bail To Malayalam Actor
Supreme Court granted interim bail to Malayalam actor Siddique on Monday, allowing him protection from arrest for two weeks in a sexual harassment case.
Siddique Sexual Assault Case: The veteran actor is facing legal action following allegations of rape and assault made by an actress, Revathy Sampath. She has lodged a complaint with the Special Investigation Team tasked with looking into sexual assault cases mentioned in the Hema Committee Report. After the High Court denied his request for anticipatory bail on September 24, the actor went into hiding. However, he later appealed to the Supreme Court, which has now granted him bail.

As per the latest reports by Live Law, The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Malayalam actor Siddique on Monday, allowing him protection from arrest for two weeks in a sexual harassment case.
A Bench led by Justice Bela Trivedi heard the case and issued the order until the next hearing. The court instructed the police not to arrest Siddique during this period. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi represented the actor.
Update on Siddique's missing
As per reports, police have stepped up their search for Siddique and issued a lookout notice, but they have not yet located the actor from Nandanam. He disappeared after the Kerala High Court turned down his plea for anticipatory bail in a sexual abuse case.
Onmanorama reports that while Siddique remains in hiding, the victim who accused him of sexual abuse has claimed that the police are assisting him after the court rejected his bail applications.
Actress Revathy Sampath has alleged that Siddique sexually and mentally abused her on August 25, stating the incident occurred when she was 21 years old. This allegation arose following the release of the Hema Committee reports during the #MeToo movement.
