Samantha Recalls Citadel Honey Bunny Crew Not Taking Her To Hospital After She Concussed On Set
Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalled suffering a concussion on the sets of Citadel Honey Bunny for which she has performed several action scenes on her own.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is gearing up for the release of her show Citadel Honey Bunny. A spin-off of the Priyanka Chopra show, the series also features Varun Dhawan and will release on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. In the action-thriller, Samantha essays the role of a spy in the Raj & DK directorial. Ahead of the release, the actress shared the challenges she faced while filming the show.

Samantha, along with the Citadel Honey Bunny writer Sita Menon recently spoke about the high-octane show in an interview. The actress, who has been battling auto-immune disease myositis, will return to screen after a brief hiatus. In the interview, she shared the experience of featuring in the actioner.
Talking to Galatta India, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalled, “I had a concussion and I forgot the names after that. I completely blanked out. That was quite something." She jokingly added, "Now that I think of it, nobody took me to the hospital. Nobody asked me.” Menon clarified that the directors on set were alerted immediately but Samantha does not remember as she was concussed.
Samantha further recalled, “I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we have the set only for less than a day, we need to finish the shoot. So in my concussion, I was like, ‘I am coming people, I am coming.’ Then I remember the stunt guy was in front of me, and then I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ and they were like, ‘Okay, cut, not happening.’”

The web series is a spin-off of the American spy action series Citadel, which starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Varun lately, has been dropping exciting behind-the-scenes glimpses from the film. And, recently, he shared a series of new photos where he is seen fighting for “freedom.” The Student Of The Year actor, on Friday, took to his Instagram handle to share stills from the movie. In the first picture, Varun is seen holding a fun. One of the BTS images shows him doing an intense action sequence with Samantha. Both actors can be seen holding guns and engaging in intense combat with goons. Sharing the clicks, the actor wrote, “Freedom isn’t free #honeybunny.”
The trailer of the film was released on October 15 at a star-studded event in Mumbai. Directed by Raj & DK, the upcoming Indian spy action series marks Varun and Samantha’s first project together.
