The movie marks his final appearance on the big screen as the actor bids adieu to the entertainment world. Amid this, a report suggests that makers have roped in Bobby Deol opposite Vijay.

According to a report in the Deccan Herald, Bobby Deol has been finalised as the antagonist in Thalapthy Vijay's actioner. This move is to attract both North and South Indian audiences. According to sources close to the development, the movie will showcase a showdown between Vijay and Bobby, a fearsome villain. Bobby will reportedly delve into the darker side of cinema, adding depth and intensity to the movie's narrative.

What else do we know about Thalapthy69?

On Friday, KVN Productions shared that the makers will be announcing the project today, September 14 at 5 PM. The movie will be helmed by H Vinoth, who is known for his movies, including Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Valimai and Thunivu. The makers have roped in Anirudh Ravichander to compose the music. The movie is likely to go on the floors in early October and is scheduled to release on Diwali 2025.

Since his portrayal in Animal, the actor has been enjoying the newfound attention. Filmmakers, across the Indian film industries, are now approaching the actor for the antagonist role.
