Hiten Tejwani, prominent for his role in in Siddharth P Malhotra’s popular series Pashminna – Dhaage Mohabbat Ke,  is all set to reunite with his wife, Gauri Pradhan, on-screen after an eight-year hiatus. The show aired on Sony Sab. In a recent interview, Hiten Tejwani discussed the unique experience of shooting with his wife after all these years.

Why did Hiten and Gauri not act together for all these years?

Hiten's professional journey with Gauri began on the sets of Kutumb in 2001, leading to their marriage in 2004. Despite appearing in several daily soaps together, their on-screen collaboration halted after Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi in 2015. Explaining the hiatus, Hiten reveals," We got a lot of offers but they were not anything substantial so we rejected many of them. Here, there is something new. In all other offers, people gave us the same husband-wife roles. Here, there is some past, some strain, some arc. How these two characters will face each other now after years, I found that interesting. That is why we felt like we should do it."

Did Hiten Tejwani just say wife Gauri Pradhan is not his favourite co-star?

When asked about Gauri being his favorite co-star, Hiten, with a laugh, appreciates all his co-stars, said, “I would not take away anything from any other co-star of mine. It has always been fun with everyone. But you know when you already have chemistry with someone, it is different. With others, you have to get to know someone and build that rapport. Here, it exists already. So, right from the first scene, we don’t have to make any extra efforts.”

Hiten Tejwani's experience of shooting in chilly winters

Hiten reflects on the unique experience of the chilly autumn and winter," It was cold so it was a little difficult shooting there. When you go for sightseeing, you can wear four layers but when you are shooting, that is not possible. You have one thermal and then the normal clothes. So yes, it gets cold. But we get used to it. That is why we finished it by December.”

Pashminna – Dhaage Mohabbat Ke is all set premiere on Sony Sab in October, featuring a cast including Nishant Malkhani and Isha Sharma. The limited series, spanning 54 episodes, isset to conclude in mid-2024, offering viewers a distinctive narrative that brings together seasoned actors in a captivating storyline.
