Devara Box Office Collection Day 5: Film To Become First Janhvi Kapoor Starrer To Enter ₹200 Cr Club

Devara Box Office Day 5: The Jr NTR headliner hit the big screens on September 27. The Telugu movie features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles and has been pulling audiences to houseful theatres. The actioner is all set to breach the Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic box office.

Devara opened to a staggering Rs 82.5 crore, as per Sacnilk. The film released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada and registered a positive growth in business on the weekend. On the first Saturday of release, the film raked in Rs 38.2 crore, followed by Rs 39.9 core on Sunday.

However, on the subsequent weekday, Devara was unable to bring audiences to the theatres. It registered a dip in collections on Monday and raked in only Rs 12.75 crore. But the figures improved on Tuesday, with an early estimate of Rs 13.50 crore, as per Sacnilk. The movie has amassed a positive of Rs 186.85 crore in the five-day theatrical run. Given the national holiday on October 2, the collection is expected to see a rise.

Devara emerges as Janhvi Kapoor 's career-best 

In Devara: Part 1, Janhvi Kapoor essays the love interest of the protagonist, played by Jr NTR. While many argued that the actress has next to no role in the film, it has emerged as her career best. Previously, her debut movie Dhadak was her highest-grossing film at Rs 74.19 crore.

With nearly Rs 200 crore, Devara has now surpassed Dhadak by a massive margin. However, the pan-Indian film has raked in only Rs 35.35 crore in Hindi. Janhvi's last film Ulajh collected only Rs 8.30 crore and before that, her movie Mr and Mrs Mahi raked in Rs 36.38 crore.
