“Prashanth Neel did not cast me for Salaar. Post the success of KGF 2, I called him," revealed Salaar star Jagapathi Babu.
Prabhas starrer Salaar opened to positive reviews by the critics and is expected to create history at the box office. In a recent interview, Jagapathi Babu recalled an interesting event about how he was cast in the film. The actor is one of the main villains in the film named Raja Mannar, the father of Prithviraj Sukumaran's character.

As per a report in 123telugu.com, Jagapathi shared that the director Prashanth Neel didn't cast him for Salaar. He added that after the success of KGF: Chapter 2, he called the director and showed interest in working with him. Neel remembered it and when Salaar was in the making, he offered the actor one of the major roles.
“Prashanth Neel did not cast me for Salaar. Post the success of KGF 2, I called him and showed interest in working with him. Neel kept this in his mind and when Salaar was shaping up, he called me and offered Raja Mannar," shared Jagapathi Babu.
Talking about the film, the actor added that the audience will have a treat watching Prabhas in an action-packed avatar. Sharing his experience about working with Neel, he said that it was a "surreal experience".

Apart from Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film also stars Shruti Haasan as the former's love interest. Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire revolves around two friends and their journey into the world of the Khansaar. It shows the brotherly bond of two characters played by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Each action sequence comes with an emotion, and makers have tried to offer a perfect blend of action and emotion that will appeal to a large section of the audience. The film has been released in five regional languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
