Kalki 2898 AD Sells One Of Costliest Tickets Ever, Earliest Shows To Begin At THIS Time
The sci-fi film titled Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas has generated significant buzz, with ticket prices reaching up to ₹2,300 in cities like Mumbai.

Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, features prominent actors from both Bollywood and the South Indian film industry, including Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. The film, which marks Deepika Padukone's debut in Telugu cinema, is set to release in theaters on Thursday.
Kalki 2898 AD costliest ticket prices
The sci-fi film has generated significant buzz, with ticket prices reaching up to ₹2,300 in cities like Mumbai. For instance, Maison INOX at Jio World Plaza in BKC is selling 'Lux Superior' tickets for the night show in Hindi on June 27 for ₹2,300. Over the weekend, the same venue's Drive-IN is offering tickets for ₹2,000.
This isn't the first time ticket prices have soared for a highly anticipated film. In September 2023, tickets for Jawan, directed by Atlee, were priced as high as ₹2,400 due to the film's immense popularity.
Kalki 2898 AD earliest show
In Andhra Pradesh, the government has authorized an increase in ticket prices for Kalki 2898 AD. Single-screen theaters can now charge ₹75, while multiplexes can charge up to ₹125. Similarly, the Telangana government has implemented a ticket price hike for the film's first eight days in theaters, with regular theaters increasing prices by ₹70 and multiplexes by ₹100. The first show of the film is scheduled for 5:30 AM, with additional shows added to accommodate demand. The government has also permitted five shows per day for the first 14 days post-release, instead of the usual four.
Set in the year 2898 AD and inspired by Hindu scriptures, Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The cast also includes Disha Patani.
